In India, digital prices have started to rise dramatically. Bharat QR, Bharat Bill Payment System, PhonePe, Paytm, and Google Pay are just a few of the online payment companies that have sprung up.

  • Due to the pandemic, India’s increasing digital payments business, which is characterised by competitive aspects such as demonetisation and UPI introduction, is estimated to contribute for around 2.2 percent of the global digital payments market.
  • On the route to the uprising, the transaction’s value might reach $12.5 trillion by 2022. According to the analysis, India’s Unified Payment Interface (UPI) will reach $59 billion in 2030.

4. The impact of the Covid-19 digital surge

For lockdowns, Internet usage has risen from 50% to 100%. Everything is becoming digitised, which has resulted in the transformation of businesses, educational institutions, and everything else into work-from-home opportunities.

5. Online viewership and data consumption are on the rise.

  • 50 percent of users are spending more time on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram, with the 18 to 35 age group accounting for 70% of viewership. According to a research released last year, India is expected to have one billion digital users by 2030.
  • Due to the convenience of working from home, people are spending more time online. Broadband usage has risen, as has the number of people searching for information on the internet. Having a smartphone has made it much easier to view movies. The future of entertainment will be found on your smartphones, not in your living room.
